The fishing has been good this week in spite of a brisk easterly wind. The sea is clear with a bit of dirty water as the tide changes.
Lots of Mackerel Tues, Weds, Thurs and Fri to float and feathers on the big spring tides along with a few Garfish. The Mackerel could go down a bit as the tides reduce this week and more Garfish will more than likely appear.
A few Wrasse down the wall to worm and a few Pollock to floated fish bait and the odd feather.
A few Bass starting to show. Oner angler had 6 on red gills over the rocks at the far end, the best one going 4 1/2 lbs. Dave Grinham lost the Guys name details etc .
Plenty of Pouting around before high tide.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WEST ARM IS STILL CLOSED BUT IT SHOULD NOW REOPEN ON SAT 17TH MAY. CHECK WITH TACKLE BOX AROUND THIS DATE TO MAKE SURE THE WORK IS COMPLETE AND THE ARM IS OPEN.
